Good stuff again this week guys. Some great photos and inspiring work.
Here’s one from the BRVRR.
New York Central GP-20 #6109 rounding the curve at the East end of the BRVRR layout.
Keep those pictures and comments coming guys. This is always the best thread of the week.
Michael, that’s a little too chilly for a Labor Day photo fun!
Although it was in the upper 40’s up here this morning…[:O]
Just a small part of town
Since I have not finished any freight cars or engines this week, I am sending some pictures I took at the club and one of my favorite freight cars that I did long ago.
These are Proto 1000 FM C-Liners hauling a coal drag through one of the cities on the club layout.
This is an Athearn 86’ Hi Cube painted with Magenta Paint and lettered with Herald King Decals.
Thanks for looking

Its a beautiful thing. I like to see beautiful things.

Hi Guys,
Some good work this weekend!
Here’s just a quick shot I took of some recently aquired Walthers F3s for the Super Chief coaches. Funny in the shot they look about the right red as you see in photos of the prototype, but in the flesh they seem a little too dark.
Regards,
Nigel
AggroJones … Thanks for commenting on my photo of “Silver Fountain” … It was a fun kitbashing project.
Everybody … Great photos this weekend!
mostly have been a looker of all the great photos. Here is unfinished (everything is unfinished here) fall scene with pond.
Great shots Corey, love that old timey look you have captured.

Sean. After our unusually long hot summer, I’m dying for some snow right now!
I’ve got you beat, the low here this morning was 36 degrees. Even my dog didn’t want to go outside, but nature took precedence over comfort. [:-^]

Be careful what you wish for. Some people on the east coast were looking for a little rain and look what happened last weekend
Friends coal cars I made loads for.
Zorba’s Diner is open for business, but you’ll have to wait a short while longer if you want to drive on pavement rather than pink foam.
I spent last weekend making an interior. Other than the figures, it’s all scraps and images downloaded and printed on my computer. Remember putting a tack on someone’s seat? Well, at Zorbas, the stools are tacks.
I put lights on the ceiling so the patrons can read the menu. Don’t forget to ask about the daily specials.
Once again, I’ve taken a simple kit and spent a month on it, but I prefer to model at a leisurely pace. I hope you’ve all had a great holiday weekend.
Here’s my July project, which turned into my July/August project, which has turned into my July/August/September project, which will probably become my… well, you get the idea
Pretty pleased with the creek so far. It’s less than 24 inches long total, but a little forced perspective by making it narrower as it got farther from the layout edge went a long way
Didn’t know what color I was was going to make the creekbed. But then the thinned craft paint washes I used to color the rock castings overwashed into the plaster creek base, giving a mottled multi-hued look that I found pleasing and decided to keep.
A few coats of Modge Podge stippled with a foam brush topped off the creek
More ground cover and a bunch of trees are still to come
Jim
Very nice, Jim. I agree with you, the colors look good.
