Havn’t seen many pictures of layouts at night. Thought it might be interesting, I came across this from a month or so ago.
Great shot Don. But should we wonder what that red light is to the left of the photo? [:O]
Maybe, an alien ship from some other planet.

I’ve had some fun with night shots but I don’t know why I don’t do more. I suppose it’s because it’s a lot more difficult and tougher to get the details that we sometimes want to see.
I think you need a better than average camera and a good tripod with lots of patience.
I experimented with this idea a few years back. Here’s a few that are just before night fall. If it’s too dark, nothing shows up on my layout…
The Tardis lifting off?
Don - I see photography is among your many talents.[bow]
My guess is the red light is the new location of your pole sliding neighbor![swg]
Pat
Talent ??? Not hardly, Luck yes !!!
The red light on the left side is actually a rotating beacon. But, I like the “assumed” ideas better. “Dance Pole, Alien, Tardis, etc.”
Just goes to show that we may be a bunch of old geezers but we still have a vivid imagination. [(-D]
I like running trains “at night”. Still need a lot of lights to realy make that happen … Only a few sections are light ready…

the red light is a EOT device in this case…

Never know what comes out in the night
