LGB Lake George and Boulder coaches

Hi all
Having recently managed to acquire the baggage car.
I now want to get the LGB Lake George and Boulder
4wh passenger car or two
I dont think the did them as the new extra short bogie cars which would be better if the where made.
Does any one know the catalogue number and if it was available with the US
style roof have seen a picture of it with Euro roof but the baggage has a US
style roof.

Hi John,
Not a lot of help but I only remember them as the standard bogie coach, not 4 wheels. For me those LGB coaches are still one of the best I’ve seen & I’m on the look out for some Rio Grande.

30040 Lake George and Boulder baggage car
has definitely only got 4 wheels and US style roof.
I got it because it will not look too out of place with Euro 4Wh stock but will
still look OK with US bogie stock
well it works for me[:D] or will once its been fitted with replacement metal wheels[^]

Just spent 15 minutes doing a LGB search, GOOGLE and Yahoo searches. and the only LG&B car I could find is the 30040 bagage, none as passenger.

I’ve definitely seen an LG&B 4-wheel coach - they were available in red and possibly blue (the latter sighted on ebay), they were basically the starter set 4-wheeler but with the planked body and minus the clerestory moulding on the roof. If you go to the LGB site and search on 33060 you should find the red version though it’s listed as a “museum product”.

Thanks now I know what I am looking for will do an experement and see if the US roof fits that style of body.
If it does I have the part numbers for the roof and roof boards.
and will try and find the coach and fit a US roof.
