Lifelike's web site gone?

I just tried to check out the Lifelike web site, and it’s gone! Anyone know what happened to it?

Rotor

it wont work for me either perhaps it is really gone?

lifelike was bought by walthers . my guess is they decided they either needed to update the LL website to announce this and it will be back soon OR they decided there’s no need for a seperate LL site and all the info will be on the walthers site sometime soon

Dear Walthers:

I miss the Life-Like web site. I wouldn’t mind a replacement, and the Walthers on-line catalog is a pretty good site in itself. Still, I have been locomotive-shopping, and I found that the Life-Like site was ideal, since it told me what was available somewhere, not what was in-stock at a particular dealer. Fortunately, I found my information on GP-9’s before the site went away, but now that I’d like to do the same for F7’s, I’ve got no place to go.

So, if it’s not too much trouble, could you put the site back up until you’ve got a replacement ready for us? Thanks a lot.

Is that a message you sent to them? Or is that something you just wrote here? I wonder if Mr. Walthers is a member of this site?

Actually, just a post in hopes that maybe they monitor this site. (I was using an American High School English assignment as a prototype, by the way.) Some manufacturers do, and I’ve seen some very fast responses to problems.

Maybe we should try an e-mail campaign? Go to the Walthers site and find the Contact Us stuff? Might be worth a try.

comments@walthers.com should get you there. I just sent them a note.

It appears that they have removed the web site. I used to be able to access it via Tony’s Train Xchange site, but tonight it won’t come up, it times out trying to ping their server.

I need a replacement part for my P2k SD60. I found the LL site gone a coule days ago so I went to walthers and emailed them about the part. Still no response…

That is a real smart IT team they have, instead of just killing all the web site and domain, why not repoint it to Walthers.Com, or even the announcement page they have. That sure helps them for LifeLike sales to just make it disappear.

Or maybe LifeLike did it, as I seem to remember they are keeping some picinic table product???

This has all been posted before, but for those of youi that missed it: The lifelike website is gone and will not come back. They don’t sell trains anymore so why would they pay for a website? The Lifelike previously issued is on Walthers at 433. The new Walthers/Lifelike is now vendor 920 and there is plenty listed there. The parts that Lifelike had was trucked to Walthers but it is going to take time to dig through. And remember, Walthers still has a business to run. They can’t just drop everything to look for Lifelike parts.

Another Fallen Flag perhaps?

the LL stuff is appearing on the Walthers Site.
