Yes, What you have is a very nice model of the Japanese Shinkansen bullet train that still runs between Tokyo and Kyoto in the south. As I remember it might have been a Rivarossi model.
Hello, no this is a LIMA model train.
Thank you very much for your information on the shinkansen.

That Lima model is an accurate model of the original (00-class) EMU cars used on Japan’s 1435mm gauge very-high-speed rail network. When they were built, the only 1435mm gauge line more-or-less paralleled the 1067mm gauge Tokaido Main Line from Tokyo to Shin-Osaka. Today the 00-class cars are in museums, the 1435mm gauge system has spread across all of Japan and the most recent Shinkansen sets look more like inverted coal scoops than like bullets.
Interestingly, the Japanese use the term Shinkansen to describe the entire system, even though it literally means, ‘New Tokaido Line.’

I love Japanese electrics. Kato, Tomix, and Micro Ace have a great selection of N scale bullets, old and new. HO though, I’m not too sure about.
I have looked at your website, and I’m very impressed by your motive power! I’m a fan of foreign power. I gotta say, you have some great lookin’ models! [tup][tup]
There’s a fair bit of Kato in HO too. Model Power has a nice, maybe bnot accurate, ICE train, and a Shinkansen that looks alot like that one.
Hi, flash wave, if you can, i would like to see this Ice train of model power.
Thank you and regards.

Tada!
http://store.modelpower.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2628 t needs more coaches though. Be warned, one engine will only drag 2 coaches and the unpowered. But if you change the plugs on the back engine with another powered, the wire pickups are such that both powered engine will run at full throttle on a DC or DCC layout (00 or whatevber default is) without sstrangling each other for power. This lets you run a decent sized train at a decent clip
Thank you very much for model power web adress. Very interesting!
I send you another italian website model train adress http://www.acmetreni.com/
and a fotogallery of a very good railway expo model http://www.capotrenogio.com/moncalieri2008/index.html
