Lionel Super O switched 112 R

Any advice is appreciated! I have three Super O 112 R switches I can’t get to work. One had a bad ground post so I replaced the rivet with a small bolt and nut. I now get voltage between the bolt and the rail but switch still doesn’t operate.
The other two chatter so I think I have a short somewhere but not sure where to start.
Thanks!

You will have better advice in the Classic Toy Trains section. Or even better go to Lionel Super O Track group on groups.io

I moved it to CTT.

If the 2 switches chatter whenever power is applied to the rails, then something is causing the electro-magnet that moves the points to rapidly change direction. My guess would be that the non-derailing feature for both directions are activated at once. The non-derailing feature on the 112R’s are activated by a flange on the wheels of a passing train completing the circut across to a copper strip. These contacts are positioned on the inside outer rails and are inside of the gauge. Make sure the copper contact is vertical and, more importantly, not touching the rail whatsoever.
