If the 2 switches chatter whenever power is applied to the rails, then something is causing the electro-magnet that moves the points to rapidly change direction. My guess would be that the non-derailing feature for both directions are activated at once. The non-derailing feature on the 112R’s are activated by a flange on the wheels of a passing train completing the circut across to a copper strip. These contacts are positioned on the inside outer rails and are inside of the gauge. Make sure the copper contact is vertical and, more importantly, not touching the rail whatsoever.
