List of Hotels, B&B's, Airbnb's, Etc. Next to or Overlooking Rail Lines

Does a list exist that someone may have compiled of various room accommodations across the U. S that are next to or overlook rail lines? Thanks.

Check the railfan magazines - I know I’ve seen ads in them for such accomodations.

Establishments that may otherwise be in prime locations for railfanning may not want to tout that, as the general public may be less that enthusiastic about trains passing while they try to sleep.

I stayed in a place on my way from Deshler to Rochelle, on Carl’s suggestion. It was located adjacent to the tracks, but the staff wouldn’t give me a “room with a view.”

Essex MT: Izaak Walton Inn.

Columbia SC: Gallus Stadium Park Inn.

Marysville PA: Bridgeview Bed & Breakfast.

Maybe this thread could serve as an ongoing list of such establishments that members know about.

Doesn’t the classified pages of Trains Magazine have ads for most of the rail related hotel type facilities?

evening

Some hotels in Fostoria give railfan discounts.Larry was the hotel in Dekalb Illinois?? They have 4 separate rooms next to the tracks.Of course if you want to sleep in a boxcar go to Rileys Railhouse in Chesterton Indiana.Excellent breakfasts.

The Hampton Inn in Burlington, WI is right next to the CN mainline. The location is a couple of blocks from the end of a passing siding though I don’t know if there are any views of that from the hotel.

Might have been. Carl recommended it. Met him the next day at Rochelle for a guided tour back to his home turf, and lunch with him and Pat.

First thing that popped into my head.[D)]

Hey, all you Muggles out there:
