Listen to this...this is REALLY freaky

This is a link to a paranormal group in PA.

The last link is a downloadable clip recorded on the first floor of the Altoona’s Railroaders Musuem in Altoona, PA.

This is an EVP, or Electronic Voice Phenomenon, which is something that the human ears can’t pickup, but electronic recorders can.

It sounds like the voice in this clip is say “Steam…steam burn…lord it hurts”

The building that the EVP was recorded in was the Old PRR infirmery…well, let the web site describe it all…

It sent shivers down my spine!

It sounds pretty authentic, like all the other EVPs I have heard it is still pretty creepy. I am glad you psoted that link, i am always looking for other websites for paranormal investigators or paranormal related things.

The truth is out there… [alien][:O][alien][:O]

Yeah, that is pretty interesting.

Another thing that keeps happening to me is that I can clearly hear the N&W J’s whistle anytime of the day. I live about 6 miles from the NS/CSX mainline, and I find it a little weird. I have asked other people about this, and I got a reply from someone saying that they have heard it also.

I can sometimes hear a PRR K4.

Does anyone watch TAPS? Does TAPS have their own web site?
Allan.

taps website is
www.the-atlantic-paranormal-society.com

Jim! Long time no talk, so how have ya been?[:-,][:-,]

You guys are freaking me out. Hear a J’s whistle any time of the day and a K-4 but you are really north of Philly. What haunted J spent any time over there? Long ways from its home rails.

I wonder if anyone has EVP’s of this lonesome stray N&W J

If you do not believe me fine, but I know I have heard it, along with the K4. AND NO, I AM NOT CRAZY.

I pressed F5 10 times

Sounds like it’s time to kill the computer [(-D].
Allan.

I live near chicago main line & the westshore line in rochester ,new york. I can here NYC steam engines whistle every night on the westshore & chicgao main line. My scaner at different night i could here the dispacher saying who’s calling over? No one would answer, but you here someone when their is quite saying go ahead dispacher over. Now that will really sents shivers down your spine.

What would the voice mean by “steam…Steam burn…lord it hurts”?
did the ghost die by wut, boiler rupture? fire? hit by a loco?
idk but that freaks me out

Scalded to death by steam

Who you gonna call? PIPEBUSTERS!!!

Hope you all have designated drivers for the next couple of days.

Considering this was first posted 3-01-2006, I can belive its down

I can’t find the recording on their website, though there is this printed account of the ghostbusters, er, scientists time at the Altoona Museum.
