Live deer ends up on roof of MRL train

I haven’t had much time to surf the forum lately, so hopefully this isn’t a repeat topic.

Interesting and unforunate story about a mule deer that jumped from an overpass to the roof of a MRL train. (well, unfortunate unless you’re the bear who got fed in the end)

I would say, “Poor deer”. But I’ll bet there are lots of people from that area that would say, “Good riddance”. [4:-)]

Perhaps the deer had just finished watching some action movie.

If that was to happen around here…that deer wouldnt have gone to the bears… 2 guys would have gone up the side of the car to chace it down…while 2 guys would be building a fire to cook it

Last thing the deer said to his buddies as they stood on the bridge: “Hey, y’all–watch this”.

Dont suppose he handed his fermented berry juice to one of his buddies first, do you?

That’s too bad that it survived the jump onto the boxcar, but then ended up getting more seriously hurt when it hit the ground. Still, kind of a funny story; I don’t think I’ve heard of such a thing before.

Maybe the train was “in heat”?

Before the crowed got there, there was a group of deer on the ground chanting “Jump, Jump, Jump, Jump”.

It would make a great Lionel operating accessory … train goes under bridge, deer jumps onto train …

Most Montanans like deer, now if this was a California deer we would have celebration!
