It is a good cam, although sometimes it ends up looking at stuff like the brick facade of the Elks club. You can also catch some river traffic from time to time. I’ve seen tie work, and a rail grinder at various times. Mid-day to afternoon is the best time to visit, as sun and mist of the river make morning viewing iffy.

I visit there regularly.

The new cam in Galesburg is also enjoyable.

The downside of both of these cams is that control is often subject to the vagaries of available bandwidth. I’ve had many times when I had “control” of the camera, but it took forever to get it to move. And if you are watching a train and the person in control isn’t doing a decent job, they can end up in never-never land, and you miss the train entirely. That’s one big advantage of the fixed cam at Rochelle - you can always see the trains…

What is the web site in Galesburg for this cam? Anyone know?
