Loblolly pines for a North Carolina layout

I am going to be building an N-scale freelance layout depicting a fictitous branch line of the Norfolk Southern. Loblolly pines are very prominant in the NC landscape. Has anyone modeled Loblolly pines for their layout? Any suggestions about how it might be done?

Thanks for your suggestions.

LION was visiting brother of him in NC last summer. Impressed by the pines he was. Him thinked that they would make a good view block, it makes a change from tall buildings are ragged cliffs. But subway of LION does not need pine trees.

Here is closer look of pine trees. Maybe you can figure a way to build these from these pictures.

LION would simply put a plain wood wall and mount piny lookin stuff on it, and then build a number of trees in front of that back drop. Or maybe use a photo for the back drop and then put other trees in front of that to give it depth., Yes that is what I would do. LION has had good luck with photographic elements on the layout of him.

While in NC, went to Wilmington to see battle ship. LION was impressed on how SMALL that thing is.

LION was sailor on Aircraft Carrier. This thing does not even have proper birthing spaces. And those gun turrets go all the way down to the bottom of the ship, so that takes up a lot of the interior space.

There are some videos on You Tube that show how to make wire trees. You could use taht method and these usually look great.
