Locomotive bell stolen

Some person or persons stole the bell off a ‘train’ (presumably meaning a steam locomotive) in a park in Roseburg Oregon. Link to newspaper article below.

Thats foamers for ya. They will steal anything. Thats why the last two remaining D&H Shark’s are locked up. Some darn foamers stole some stuff from the railroad, and BAM, all the interesting stuff is locked away. (and believe me, some people would absolutly cry if they saw all the stuff hes hiding away up there)

Can’t lump all of us “foamers” together. There are good and bad, just like any species.

… stole a bell, huh? Sounds like some kind of ding-a-ling to me!!

Them Bastards!! Does it really have to come down to that? In Barnsville, Mn back in December or so some rail was stolen. I dont remember how many pounds, but it was alot. Can you tell me what locomotive it came off of? And i’ll let you know if there is an auction in North Dakota that has a bell. Thanks, bigboy

ps. CETCH THEM BASTARDS!!!

I use the term foamer derragatorily spelling, most of us are railfans and train enthusiasts, but foamers take it to a new level.

I belong to the organization that owns PRR I1sa 4483. We long ago stored her whistle, bell, headlight and builder/class plate in a safe place! When we dress her up, we keep an eye on her, and we promptly return the whistle, bell, headlight and so on to storage when the event is over.

SP 1229 is the loco in the park.
