Does anybody know where I can Find the Locomotive control stands inside the cab of the Locomotives[?] I don’t have the Walthers Catolog but i tried searching the Walthers website and I wasn’t sure what to call it so I couldn’t find it[:(]. Any help would be greatly appreciated[^][^][%-)]
I beleive there are a few blister packed companies out there that specialize in small brass ‘trinketes’ like the kind you need. I recently detailed the interior of a cab on a consolidation with a handful of inexpensive parts I picked up at my local hobby shop. I’m sure many if not all hobby shops have a similar display. Some companies i can think of off the top of my head include details west, detail associates, and something in a white package with green lettering. Most parts sell for around four or four and a half dollars. hope this helps…
The First time there were 2 or 3 other kids there (I didn’t know any of them), and we all got I ride as a group, just over a switch and back. the other Engineer must have been a trainee because there was an older engineer in the cab with him standing next to him at the controll panel.
The second time it was the same Engineer that gave us a ride because he recognised my Dad and me being down to watch the train almost every week, (He only comes Twice a week always Sunday and then either tues. weds. or fri.). He began speeding up after running around the train to head to another industry a ways down the track, and he suddenly stopped. Then my Dad and I saw counductor get off and walk towards the road, and as he was walking the engineer said, (We heard it on the scanner) “It should be A Guy and his Son,” and we knew he was talking about us, the conductor told us to meet him at the other industry, and we got to ride back and forth accross the switch while they were switching covered hoppers for about 40 minutes, and we talked with the Engineer.[:D]
