So, basically, I was looking for a circuit diagram–with capacitance, resistance, and the like denoted on it–for a modern locomotive reverse board. I am not referring to the electro-mechanical device–the e-unit–used in earlier locomotives. I am also not looking for a diagram of how to install the circuit board within the locomotive or for sources from which to buy such boards. Does anybody have such a circuit plan?
It took me about 30 seconds to find this by searching on “electronic reverse unit circuit diagram.” I did the search because I vaguely recalled seeing this posted last year. I say this only because there is a lot more detailed information about actually building this design than I can post here. It includes the Gerber File which you will likely need. This post was the top item in the search results.
The wonders of search engines–I searched for “model train reverse unit diagram” and “lionel reverse board diagram” and came up with nothing. Plus, I even put in “electronic reverse unit circuit diagram” and didn’t get what I was looking for. What search engine did you use?
Thank you, anyway!
I am using Duck Duck Go with Firefox on my Windows computer. I did the same search on my iPad with the Apple default programs and got the same result. I use the iPad to capture the screen shots for posting. It is a lot easier with the iPad.
Best of luck with that. For the $59 I would just buy the most modern reverse unit board from Dallee. Its also a lot smaller physically with a higher amperage rating.
I don’t get it. I’m using Duck Duck Go, also on Firefox, also on a Windows. I put it into Duck Duck Go again and now it pops up!
Thanks!
That is great the search engine finally gave you what you need. It is really irritating when the search comes up short, especially when I know a result is missing.
Let us know what you decide to do.
Okay, another question. Does anybody know which magazine the design originally popped up in? The theory of operation thingy said that some magazine in the 1970s had it, but did not specify.
