ok so im trying to learn more about diesel locomotive (i.e. max speed, pulling power, etc., U know the real geek stuff) and i need something that has picture to the info so its easier to learn, u know visual reference, the prob. is that i cant find a good webpage that has that type of info so any suggestions would be great

Just read a lot of rr magazines, and you’ll pick up a lot. A good book is the encyclopedia of locomotives (I think that’s what it’s called) abd it has quite a few photos to go with many entries, steam, diesel and eclectic. I mean electric.

Check out Kalmbach’s line of locomotive spotting books. They will tell you just about anything you want to know, about just about any diesel locomotive.
