Hi Everyone
I am having trouble getting my horn louder on my one loco. The decoder is a Loksound V3.5. How do I increase the horn volume? Also I have the lok programmer in case this helps.
Thanks,
CASO

Two ways I know of for LokSound: tap F8 and the sound volume in general should go up or down in steps. Secondly, adjust your master volume up to the loudest programmable setting. Then, I’m afraid, you must resort to reducing all the other volumes. That is what I had to do. A pain, but I eventually could live with the locomotive’s outputs.

The only problem I ever had with Loksound. I turned the volume of the horn to maximum and all other sound volumes to less then half. I don’t have the programmer but did it on the main line with individual CVs. The list of Cvs can be found on the Loksound web site and download the V3.5 manual.

This is an easy fix. If you open up your programmer software and put the loco on the track, you will be able to load the sound profile from the loco.
Once uploaded, go to the sound settings and you will see that you have a slider that will allow you to increase the horn volume up to 200%. Do this and re-install the sound scheme. Your horn will now be louder.
If you are impatient, you can download the sound file from the ESU website rather then from the loco (it takes a while).
