The Lionel/K-line news has me (almost) optimistic about the future of SuperSnap… Yeah, yeah, yeah… it’s not very prototypical, blah blah blah…[:)]
I, for one, think it’s fantastic “Toy Train” track (Surprised to hear I’m also an LGBer?)…
I hope, I hope, I hope Lionel sees fit to continue it as part of the K-Line/K-Lionel world… Or at least offer us SuperSnap to FastTrack sections…[:)]
Not that I’m in the market for track, because I’m a die hard Gargraves user, but I really liked the look of the SuperSnap. I hope Lionel decides to stick with it. Personally I think it is superior to Fastrack in many ways, but Fastrack is probably cheaper to produce. Better profit margin, why not squa***he competition now that they own it. We’ll just have to wait and see.
I like SuperSnap track also but for me I need to cut the ends off to mate with Lionel or GarGraves track. Hope that Lionel keeps Super Street track as this is the best looking trolley and street car track that I have seen in some time.

I don’t think track’s a profit center. The market is overcrowded as it is. Supersnap’s dead and gone in a year or two after the current stock is sold.

I never liked it. Why did they call it Supersnap when the ends were so fragile and broke off easily? I’d go with MTH Realtrax that does SNAP together without problems. Ditto for Fastrack.
K-Line Superstreets or whatever its called looks like slotcar track to me. I think it looks goofy for a layout but I expect Lionel will drop it anyway.
