Look What The YouTube Threw At Me!

An old news segment concerning a place called “The Hazlet Train Stop,” a train store that was in Hazlet NJ years ago. Some of you may remember seeing the place featured in a TM video.
The video’s 48 years old and deteriorated somewhat but interesting just the same as the “Train Stop” is no longer in business.

Thanks for posting this video. This brought back fond memories. This was my primary train shop when I lived in Jersey. Some of the best advice I got for this hobby came from Boyd Mason. He would give me tips on maintenance, scenery, spare parts and he would never charge me the $2.00 to enter the museum. Of course I always bought something when I was in the store.

You’re welcome! Glad I made your day!

Somehow I missed this back in May! It’s great proof of how those wonderful trains captured my generation!

The trains captured a lot of people’s imaginations! And just think, this was shot in the (reviled by some) MPC Era of Lionel. As far as I’m concerned if it wasn’t for MPC Lionel would have died, and who knows what effect that might have had on the hobby?

I was 7 at the time that video was made and look what MPC did to me!
