I’m sorry to say that I have not been involved in Model Railroading for more than 40 years now, but when I was young my Dad was into HO model railroading big time. He told me that he was featured in a Model Railroader magazine article, I believe, in 1947. I have never seen the article and I have not been able to find magazines that old. So I’m wondering if anyone can tell me if “Delmar Edens” was featured in an article in the 1947 time frame? In those days he enjoyed painting the people figures; clothes, faces, etc and I’m thinking that the article may have been about him doing the painting.
No hits on Delmar or Edens in the magazine index: http://trc.trains.com/magazineindex
But he might not have been the author of the article.

The February 1947 issue has an article by Mel Thornburg about modeling human figures.May or may not be what you are looking for. Maybe someone here has the 1947 issues and can have a look?

Thanks for responding Stein. Yeah, I’m sure he was not the author so he may have just been referenced in an article. The Mel Thornburg article would be a good guess. Hopefully someone has access to that issue and can check it for me.
Wouldn’t it be ironic, I was born in February 1947.
