Looking for a source of 3 view plans for a Darjeeling class B, 0-4-0T locomotive. The latest SL&NG Gazette has a nice side view but would like to find the additional side and front views.
Thanks Vic
I can’t remember offhand whether drawings have ever appeared in the the UK modelling press, but the old “Locomotive Profile” series had a colour rendering of the engine as a centrespread.
You might want to contact the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry, as I think they have the Sharpe Stewart archives. If that’s the case they can supply a copy of the General Arrangment drawing.
Mark is referring to Loco Profile, Issue 23, Darjeeling Tanks, published in April 1972 by Profile Publications Limited, Berkshire, England. I have scanned the centrefold (what a beauty!) and can forward a copy (two jpegs) for non-commercial private use, given an E mail address.
You might want to ask the folks here (and possibly join!)
Thanks for the replies, I already have a side view plan already from the last issue of the Gazette, and I have found a few other views online. Enough to answer my issue. Thanks again
