Looking For HO Rivarossi/AHM Casey Jones Wheels

For some reason that now eludes me, I decided to build the subject loco out of my Bits Bin. Not realizing that certain Casey Jones parts are up there with hens teeth as to availability.

So if you have an old Rivarossi/AHM HO Casey Jones in pieces languishing in a corner because your cat swatted it off the table or the grand children took it around the 18" curve at a scale 120 mph & shouted in glee as it bounced off the floor - & the shell shattered, or it sustained other upper body damage/ but the wheels are ok - then I am very interested in purchasing the remains.

The particular parts I am looking for are the Front, Center & Rear geared wheels: P-265-017-0350, P-265-018-0350 and P-265-019-0400 respectively. But I will take the whole bottom end if that is what you have as I need the crankpins & spacers too.

Please contact me direct on kg66@comcast.net if you think you have something.

Thank you

If you can determine the exact diameter of the wheels you need, they should be available from Greenway Products. They have a rather large assortment of steam locomotive wheels.

Thanks

Excuse the ignorance, but is the measurement of the diameter of the wheel taken excluding flange or inclusive of flange??

The measurement would be the tread diameter, not the flange.

Do it the correct way. Measure the tire diameter using a dial caliper. Convert to HO scale. You might check the below site. They seem to have a lot of Rivarossi/AHM stuff. If not, don’t forget to measure the axle diameter in case you find a different source for drivers. The new drivers may have a different axle diameter.

As an example MDC/Roundhouse use to have 1/8 OD axles. The new Roundhouse drivers have 3mm diameter axles. The driver diameters are the same.
