Looking for repair diagrams recent Lionel O

Hi folks,

My kids got a Polar Express set by Lionel this Christmas and enjoy it a lot. However, clumsy me was walking through their layout to get to the tv. (They currently have it on the floor.) Well, I twisted by ankle and went crashing to the train! The engine and tender tipped over along with the some of the cars. Long story short-the wheels on the back of the tender came off (the set that couples to the passanger cars, not the set that couple to the engine). I can see how they are supposed to fit in. Each side of the axel has a small, square piece of plastic that slip over the pointed ends of the axel, then they squares slide into the frame of the of the truck. I have been all over Lionels sight looking for a service bulletin for this tender so that I can order the parts, if not the whole rear truck. I also need to replace the Observation railing that goes onto the back of the Observation car, the last car in the set.

I see on Lionels site that everything has part numbers, model numbers, etc. They thing I can’t figure out is how they assign a product number for their pieces. The box for the set has a product number (don’t remember offhand) but no model numbers for any of the individual components inside. Maybe if I can find another set that uses the same tender and find a diagram for that, I can go from there.

Anyone have any ideas?

I’d prefer to attempt this repair myself, but if I have to take it in, I will.

Thanks!

Greg

Some products have the item/model number on the bottom of the car. If not call Lionel service and ask/tell them what you need.
