I want to find two models of the exact same house for a pair of scenes I’m planning.
One scene will be my HO layout mainline running behind a house with a T scale train running around the house as its garden railway.
Another scene will be a G scale house with my HO train running around the same house with a short length of G scale track behind it.
Both scenes will be exactly the same, but with HO as the “prototype” train and T as the garden train, and with G as the “prototype” train and HO as the garden train.
But I can’t find the exact same house in both HO and G scale.
Does anyone know if it’s possible to find the exact same house in both HO and G scales?
It’ll be someone who 3D-prints to multiple scales.
You may be better off finding a good building in HO and scratchbuilding the larger building from its dimensions – I don’t offhand have a good source for G-scale buildings, and many of those available (e.g. for Gauge 1) will be slightly smaller than 1:29 and of European prototype. If you’re set up to 3D-print, you might get or make files for an HO-scale building and scale them to print some or all the components for the buildings.
