I hope this is not taken as advertising as I’m looking to buy.
This year I’m building all new rolling stock from wood kits, but they are difficult to obtain. I have acquired several from eBay, but they seem to becoming scarce. I am presently trying to find Quality Craft and Gloor Craft 100 ton and 70 ton covered hoppers and PRR 40’ and 50’ auto box cars, Ambroid airslide covered hoppers, Bev Bel/Quality Craft (yellow box) 40 PS1 box cars, Labelle 40’ and 50’ wood side box cars, Thomas tank cars, and any other wood kits of steel box cars. Decals are not important, but the cars must be unbuilt. My period is 40’s to mid 50’s.
I’ll be most happy to pay fair market price as these are not for resale. The scale is HO.
Fair market price HUH. With a layout like that you could afford gold boxcars, LOL. Just kidding Howard. I get back to you on Clubnight (Friday) I know of several of the old time guys who have those kits. I have seen them. They have been sitting around for years, and I am quite sure they will NOT be built by them. Seriously, if they know were those kits will be going heck they might donate them to you.
