M R question

why is it the magazine tells you you can go to this website “to see the trix pennsylvania gg1 in action and hear some of it’s sound effects” and then not have ANYthing on the page that i can find pertaining to this? i even did a mr search on ‘trix gg1’ and it comes up with nothing. is this just bs to get folks to their website?
if it’s there why is it completely hidden?

this isn’t the first time this has happened to me with mr. what is the deal?

I never noticed this before because I’ve never had an overwhelming desire to see a sales pitch video of a train, but after looking around I presume is is supposed to be here:

But notice the most recent review it has is October 2005. Since the GG1 is in the January 2006 issue, I am guessing they are just three months behind in their posting their reviews to the website. Might be a good question for Bergie.

Yes, but aren’t magazines sent to press 2 or 3 months in advance?? I mean, beginning of December, and a lot of us have already read through the January issue… I know the staff is probably quite busy but it seems to me that if they are going to advertise links, they should be working when the magazine hits the mailbox (or at least the newstand)… Otherwise, what’s the point of providing them?? By the time they get them up and running, people have probably lost interest in viewing them… I know I would anyway. It’s never been that important to me anyway…

http://www.trains.com/Content/Dynamic/Articles/000/000/006/310dyawd.asp says that it’s “Coming Soon” Could be someone lost the file and it’s having to be re-shot or something?

You can usually find these videos when you click the current issue link beside the picture of the issue. That takes you to a summary of whats in the issue, including the online bonuses. Right now, the video is saying “coming soon”.
