Magor Car Corp. - Post WWII Freight cars for Portugal & Spain - Question??

Hello

I am trying to gather information about some 500 closed 2 axle freight cars built by Magor in 1948 and delivered in kit (un-assembled) to Portugal…

The Spanish railways also bought around 740 similar cars, that were in this case, war spares (new, never used, also in kit form - original intended to fight the possible invasion of India by Japan). When they arrived they still had USA markings:

By a long shot, does anyone have information about them?

Or perhaps any idea if there is a place were the original Magor Car Corp. documents and plans might still be available for consultation?

Thank for any help,

Regards from Portugal,

Albérico Duarte

Magor Car I think was in Clifton, NJ and shipped a lot of product over the Lackawanna RR. You might check with the Passaic County Historical Society in Passaic, NJ or the Chamber of Commerce in Passaic County or Clifton proper. I don’t know if the company merged or was acquired by another but these leads might be a good starting point

There’s a book.
