Making under brush and weeds.

What is a good material to use when making weeds and under brush usually found along the side of track. I am looking for the straw color type of groth.

I used sisel rope. The small one. Cut the rope in 1/4 to 1/3 inch lengths, unravel it, and glue it in with white glue. works great. Another thing i do is take green paint and water and brush a little color onto some of the strands and it looks great.

Hope this helps?

Woodland Scenics products in mixed use all add a little. Their tall grass improves the look of faux fir. A little moss can add. The sticks from caspia that have no flowers make good tiny dead trees. The key, for me, is the more variety the better. It is almost impossible to ever get as much variety as nature it self. Some of the flower colored foam can help. For a fall scene, crushed leaves of several colors add. The list in endless. Have a blast and post the pics. That is how we learn. Here is my hunting scene, one place I have been expermenting with.

For tall clumps of grass I use WS field grass:

For bushier growths, I use either WS clump foliage or poly fiber covered with ground foam.

I have a question. Is sisal rope the same as binder twine?

GUB

Sisal rope is coarse made of twisted hemp fibers, not to be confused with Hemp! jc5729
