man accidently burns Saskatchewan railroad bridge

A retired man burning fields allowed a fire to get out of control and burned a trestle at Porcupine Plain. Bridge appeared to be several hundred feet long.

Fortunately it was on an abandoned line - rails pulled several years ago.

Unfortunately, it was considered a local historical landmark.

Either way, who in their right mind would set a grass fire when the entire area is ripe to burn. Fires don’t simply stop at property lines unless there’s a solid, manned firebreak there.

Something tells me somebody’s in a heap of trouble!
