Man tries to rob UP train

I read about this guy this morning. Not sure what he was thinking. He decided he was going to rob or try to steal a UP train with a HOMEMADE Bow and Arrow! Obviously, he didn’t have any luck. To make matters worse, when the cops showed up, he aimed at them. The cops shot the man in the wrist and arm.

Here’s the article.

what a fool[B)][:D] great thinking on the crews part…Wonder how many arrows he had???[(-D][(-D][(-D][(-D]

It’s a good thing the train was stopped. A fool like that is likely to stand in the middle of the tracks, point the bow and arrow at an oncoming train, and order them to stop.

Robin Hood was cool, but he was no match for Isaac Newton.

just goes to show you… don’t take a knife (or a bow and arrow) to a gunfight…and as always, I had to ponder the idea of …what was he thinking?..[:D]

LOL…You talk about STUPID!
Allan.

Must be a misplaced reincarnation of Robin Hood

Definitlya reincarnation, but inbred to the point of inebriation…

I think that guy’s been watching too many westerns…

Dumb, Dumb,Dumb! He almost sounds as goofy as the guy they recently caught trying to steal gasoline from a station here in Muncie, Ind… He had a 55 gal. drum with a battery operated pump, and hose . Had he not fallen asleep during what he was doing, he might have gotten away with it!

Doesn’t that man know nobody robs trains these days…[:D] What a dumb monkey.

I would say that’s a bad thing… A scenerio like that may have given natural selection a chance to work…

I’m going to have to quote Buggs Bunny on this one… “What a maroon!” [(-D]

It says that the Westbound locomotive was carrying 71 cars… is this usual terminology or have they scaled up on double stacks/ found a new way of marshalling?

That is a classic example of the biggest idiots on Earth! He made the Top 10! Congrats you fool!

Now, were the police aiming for the guy’s wrist, or were they going for the body-shot and just missed?

So far, it sound like everybody lucked out on this one. Of course, now the taxpayers will be paying his room and board for a while, whether he ends up in an orange prison jumpsuit or a straight-jacket. I kind of miss the old striped chain-gang outfits. Hmmm, doesn’t Woodland Scenics make those?

Yet another reason for natural selection to do it’s job.

Excuse me. What century is this??? DUH.[swg]

A very strong nominee for the Darwin Award!

LOL,
George

No, to get the Darwin, you need to actually take yourself out of the gene pool, unless they’ve gone soft on the rules. This incident did not, after all, take place in Texas, so the death penalty is highly unlikely. Of course, it sounds like it was in California, so they may lock the guy up simply for committing a crime without first becoming a celebrity.

What did this guy think he was going to do with the train when he got it? Take it home and set it up in his back yard? LOL.[:o)][(-D][(-D][(-D]
