MARCH 2017 COFFEE POT Hot coffee with grits for the good Southerners and oatmeal for the Yanks. March on towards 13 years in April.

Morning. Sunny after a line of showers went through early this AM. Going to 70 degrees.

Tomato plants in greenhouse have blooms.

Hope all OK. Good to see more posts.

Don, I don’t read your post anyway. [:-^]

Police Officer [SRO at HS] was NOT indicted by the Grand Jury yesterday. DA is mad. Told her wrong climate to do that. Everyone tired of officers being lied about, trashed and shot.

Have a good one.

Nice weather for a few days after real cold Jan. and Feb. and March so far. Wed. 83 Thur. 88 its still cold at night and it takes till noon to reach those temps.

The doctor just called me and they are going to schedule me into the hospital for a arthrogram to see if I have any blockage to my heart. He said although my stress test indicated a problem he thought the immediate danger was low. They are going to call me in about a week.

I feel better, less worried. I have always figured myself lucky and thank the Lord that my health was good for my age, 73.

Good morning,

It’s sunny and a bit warm today. Should go up to 82 today.

Been feeling a little sick lately, no fever, mainly stomach problems. Have been going to the doctor a couple times a week so far, so I am trying to get over what ever is ailing me.

Lee Fritz

Dennis, Chief - good news!

Was nice enough to drag the scooter off the porch this afternoon and scrubbed 2 yrs of dust/dirt off of it. Once dry I will start reinstalling the cowlings, fairings, and air intake/filter assembly.

Lee - feel better soon!

Good evening all,

Upgrade at work went very smoothly. Quiet day most of the rest of the day. Pain one was gone, but pain two still made a nuisance of herself. Fortunately today I was able to deflect most of her barbs. Walk today was brisk and windy. Did nothing tonight at home. I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Dennis, prayers. I have an ultra sound stress test next week. Had the nuclear stress test last year. They are good to have. Comes back all OK. Makes you feel good.

Actually Dennis Wiemer can give you some grat pointers on all of this. Questions, I contact him.

Have a good night’s sleep all.

Good evening all, we said our final good byes to Helen today and put her down at the cemetery. We had a nice reception and had some left over food which some of us took home. Everyone has been very supportive of me and I am so grateful. It was very warm at the cemetery today with temps about 88. Felt like summer. Was glad to get out of my dress clothes later.

V8, sorry to hear that you are having health issues. Good that you are taking care of it and getting ahead of any problem. Will send prayers for you. I am going back to my dermatologist again tomorrow and see what the next move is on my itch problem. I’m really getting tired of it. I have done everything the doctor has ordered

I had a nice talk at the reception today with a friend I made while Helen was in the memory care facility. His wife is still there. We have agreed to have dinner together once in a while. He is really a terrific human being and great care giver. He is so devoted to his wife even though he can’t reverse her dementia. He does what he can to make her life better. Puts in many hours over there. He helped me a lot when Helen was there.

I have a nephew in Jacksonville,N.C. who just got his Captains License to operate fishing boats. He has been working hard to pass the exam for quite a while. Kudos to him. He keeps sending pictures of all the nice speckeled trout they have been catching down there. Looks like good eating.

I have a BIL who is living on the outer banks of N.C. now since his wife, my sister passed a while back. He is staying with a son down there. Hope I can pay them a visit when I get able to travel. I would love to be in a place like that right now.

Mornin’ boys. [(-D][(-D] Royyyy… I can hear my foreman now, “Hey Fifey, who them fellers with the beach chairs, umbrella, and Coleman?..”

[I][8D] Actually, come time for steam trials, we could probably fix up a viewing stand and charge [2c]. CSX also runs by across the river.

You know Fife, Roy does have a good idea there [:-^].

Morning all. May do some yard work today. Wife been after me to cut the grass again. [banghead] just did it about a week ago. It’s only weeds anyway. Trying to figure should I put out grass seed and see if it takes or do weed killer first. Think I have heard grass seed first and let it get established then weed killer.

About 57* at present going up to 76* [:)]

Talk to you all later, need to get moving.

Good morning,
Wheel bearings show out for delivery today so the gator will be back in service. [Y]

Taking Sandra out for lunch for her birthday today.

Got my replacement Alaska Boxcar from Menards yesterday so the Alaska train is done and fine.

I have to replace the battery in the Husqvarna mower but that can wait a day or two till I service it for the season. I went to use it yesterday to haul the stump grinder out to a stump and the battery was dead. [banghead] The battery is 6 years old.

Ray glad it all went as well as those things can. We are thinking of you in our prayers.

Fife if your going to charge [2c] then you better supply the chairs and [B] to. [(-D]

When I fly to Oregon we fly over mountains the whole way. The Bullet Train was a redicoulious idea. There arent enough people who make that trip even if it was practicle to build.

Yesterday, WIND howling for about 12 hours. Edison say’s second worst storm damage ever. It was so loud I couldn’t get to sleep for my nap.

No train news till the weekend.

S.J.

That wind was something else, Sir James! I was on the highway for a couple of hours in the afternoon and it felt like I was flying through turbulence!! The trucks were swerving. I was almost blown over into the other lane a few times. Needless to say the vans MPG sucked!!

Evening all!

Cloudy today but nice, warm. Possible rain this weekend.

Got the scooter back together and I have a taker for it, and possibly before the new master cylinder comes in (would pick up later when it shows up). Rear brake is cable and it works fine, it is just the front disk is hydraulic.

Ray - prayers - hopefully the itching is due to stress and will subside with time.

Fife - thanks for the umbrella, have to avoid the sun at my age! With all the others here interested maybe we need a cabana! And of course a “cabana girl”!

Yes driving was dangerous. My wife had to go out and when she got home said that’s it for today. Besides many traffic lights out debris was flying everywhere…

Good evening all,

I think I need to rethink the movie going. We went to see Logan tonight. Absolutely lousy movie. Do not recommend at all. No upside to this one, period. Weather was nice for walk today. Turned ugly tonight. May stay home tomorrow. Good news is that real racing starts this weekend at St. Petersburg! I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Past bedtime. Reclinerized as Wifey sat up watching some dumb TV shows. How they stay on, I don’t know.

Stayed outside most of the day. Got a red face. Walked about 4 miles. Only one meeting this AM [walked to town hall]. Had one this evening but left early for haircut. Great day and was in short sleeves all day. 55 degrees right now.

Ray and Dennis, prayers.

Roy and Don, chill.

SJ, a little NC hurricane.

Mike, agree. Don’t see how some movies get out of the “cutting room”.

Sleep tight.

Hello there, TGIF!!!

still kickn

Gonna fry fish again tonite More later

Prayers for those in need

Good morning,

Winter is here to. 27 and will not get into the 40s for another week. March is always a crap-shoot. Only good thing is the sun is out and the wind is low.

Not much else.

Afternoon all!

Partly sunny today and high 60’s. Maybe 70. Predicted rain tomorrow afternoon and then cooler temps into next week.

Not much to report today so far. Workin the the garage shop area cleaning, etc.
