In the article they described using Vollmer foam road material. I couldn’t find the product on Walthers or the Vollmer site, just foil roads. Does anyone know if that foam road material is still available and where you can buy it? Thanks.
Busch makes a product which I have used and which seems to be identical to how they describe the Vollmer product.

I think Faller and Noch make similar flexible roadway stuff too.
Frankly I did not care for the appearance of the Busch roadway. Under strong light it looked more like thin foam rubber (which of course it is) than roadway. Maybe the Vollmer product is better looking in person. It photographs well enough.
The MR staff was not exaggerating by the way about how it is tricky to lay this stuff because the backing is really sticky – you have ONE chance to get it right. The surface below it has to be very smooth or it will show every tiny bump or grain of sawdust. I can see how making it a two person job would really be a good idea. If my wife cooked dinner maybe Cody Grivno or David Popp would come to my house and help ME out? lol
