MARTA seeks to redevelop parking lots at three stations

The sun has risen.
That transit, trolleys, light rail, commuter trains, even Amtrak struggle mightily to break even financially, wasn’t mentioned, but the ancillary benefit they bring to real estate, commerce, civility, society, a place’s character and image…
Did’ya ever wonder whether hotel rooms in San Francisco were sold at least in part because of:
“The little cable cars climb halfway to the stars”
New Orleans; “streetcar named Desire.”
Portland, Oregon, user embracing, more than friendly.
There’s utility, more than charm or profit in some areas.
So.
So it goes.

It sounds as if MARTA may be on to something. Good thinking! Others to copy?
