ME flex track ties question

Code 83 ME flex track ties tend to ‘bunch up’ in places whenever I curve the track. Can I just cut off some ties that have been grouped together? I would like to keep a uniform distance between the ties.

Wilson’s book on track laying doesn’t mentioned how to handle this issue.

I have used ME flextrack before, and you are right. The ties do tend to bunch up. I wouldn’t cut them out, I didn’t. What I did was to pinch them from the top and bottom between the rails and stroked them to move them to the places where the ties were spread out too much. Of course this has to be done before you put the track down. Just take your time and you will get the hang of it without breaking too many spike heads. If you try and do it from the ends of the ties, you will wind up cutting your fingers on the sharp edges of the ties.
