Just saw an ad for “Merten” people. Do you have any experience with these figures? As always, many thanks.
I have been in the hobby quite a while and have the basic question for you “Who & what are Merten?” Like who(what company) makes it and what(painted figuires, standing or sitting figuires) is it?

LEE: Here is the ad — E-Bay #320229753792 What drew me to it was “O27”. I went to the ‘Merten’ webb site but they did not show any in this size. Many thanks.
Looks like Merten is a Berlin, Germany based company manufacturing these figures. I found a variety of companies selling Merten figures, but not in O-scale. I did find N, HO, Z, and G. Google ‘Merten Figures’.
Here are a few on the All Gauge Page: http://www.thortrains.net/armymen/mertenw3.html

Kurt: You’re correct. I couldn’t find any either that is why I posed the question. The ad states O27 and it drew my attention. Many thanks.
They are probably listed “40mm” scale…this is the European 2 rail O scale.
Alex
Or 3-rail. Toy soldiers are described by the approximate height of the soldier in millimeters. So, in 1/45 (continental) O scale, he would be about 5’11, and about 6’4 in American 1/48 O scale.
Alex----Bob: Thank you.
Would like to say thank you to those who supplied information about Mertin figuires.
This may be a little off topic but I have used Homie brand figuires from my local hobby shop, however I have not seen this brand in a little while. They were figuires that were painted and pretty close to O gauge size and inexpensive so I bought them at the time.
