Metra completes work on Blue Island Branch stations

Finally those stations get the attention that they needed.
Metra CEO Don Orseno has made station rehabilitation projects such as these a top priority, and that effort is very much appreciated by Metra customers.
Was on the Blue Island elevated platform early June. One of the light stands was missing with just a cement block. I tripped on the block, flat down on my nose. Bleeding profusely as I’m. on blood thinner daily. Was going to walk to the hospital short distance away, but a Samaratin gave me a ride to emergency. Two stitches to close a miniscule cut. The cement block was about 4 inches high There should have been a cone
or protection over the block. They say old timers get a lot more falls. Guess I’ll just have to watch my steps.
