Metro-North Railroad expands New Haven service

This headline seems to be misleading. They are returning more trains to regular service after the snowstorm no? Expanding service means putting in new services along a existing route

American Red Cross listed at goodsearch.com & isearchigive.com .

Railroads are supposed to be an all weather form of transportation. So why can’t they open up the Waterbury line? People would sure use the train with parallel Route 8 still blocked - assuming they could get to the railroad station. (-:

The New Haven RR used to keep a big Russell plow and a couple of flangers in Waterbury to handle snow. Wonder if MetroNorth still even owns such equipment? Maybe a problem getting people to the equipment??

This article is obviously wrong, as Jeffretard Guse says the busses always take up the slack when the trains don’t run… Hehehe
