Metro-North: More riders in 2006
Metro-North served more passengers than ever in 2006, the railroad announced today.
The biggest gains were on the Hudson Line serving Dutchess County.
According to annual statistics released by Metro-North, the railroad recorded 76.9 million trips on its trains east and west of the Hudson River, a 3.2 percent increase over 2005.
Metro-North’s annual ridership has increased 60 percent since 1984, the first full year of railroad operations.
