Microsoft Train Simulater

I have been belatedly given one for Christmas and i keep derailing the bloody thing near Willmington. What am I doing wrong.

Rgds Ian

You’re doing nothing wrong Ian, it’s the program. I haven’t been into mine for ages - sound card has gone - but I think that in the start up there is a section where you can disable things like derailments. With the program enabled you would have to put a speed restriction on that section and take it easy going through. Good fun, but it does get boring.

You can download extra bits and bobs from here.

Very useful for extra locos ect

Also make sure that you have the latest version. I’m not sure if they are shipping the game with the updates… Make sure you are running version 1.2… You can download the 1.2 as well as a couple new locos and such from here:

Like Kim said, there are also some settings that you can change to turn off derailments, but I like to leave them on… Make sure you are going the speed limits… If you’re going too fast you’ll jump off the rails in some spots.

I got very addicted to the Marias Pass route… Downloaded as many activities and add ons as I could for it. It’s just great fun doing some of the switching moves. The Acela ones were fun too…

Hi Shads,
