Hello everybody I have been watching a lot of train simulator videos and I keep seeing that these people get the best new trains on their game like the UP heritage Western Pacfic, and SD70ACE Heritage three BNSF locomotives. All I can get is the same trains I have in the game. I have been confused about how to find these kinds of add ons and websites. I would really feel happy if I knew and that’s why I need your help. Tell me where would I have to go and what websites would I find them in. Thank you and keep on loving your train hobby.
Ryan, your question is perfectly reasonable posted here, and I am confident you will get some responses. However, were you aware that there is a forum hosted nearby on just that subject? If you scroll down below my text box, you’ll find “forum jump” and if you click on the arrow to get the drop-down menu, and then go nearly all the way down under Trains. general discussion, you’ll find the best place to pose your question…at least, that’s the idea! I am a huge fan of the program, and am excited for MSTS 2… when ever they may release it. But I have a large number of add-ons. You can get free ones at http://www.train-sim.com/, but you have to regester a username and it can be difficult to log on. If you are willing to pay for the add-ons, try http://www.trainartisan.com/, www.3dtrains.com, www.3dtrainstuff.com, www.mapleleaftracks.com among many others. Also, www.railserve.com has a few nice add-ons you can download for free. But there are tons out there, just do a google search for Microsoft Train Simulator Add-ons. MSTS is a great program, and it’s even more fun with new trains, routes, etc.
I’ve got the Train Sim game. But I didn’t install it on my new computer, when the old one crapped out. It sure took up a lot of memory space. I still may install it one of these days.
If you get a chance, you have got to download and install the Port Ogden and Northern ver 10. It is more like a model railroad than a real one and is loads of fun!
