Milk car

I got this at a train show.
a 3462 milk car (silver doors)
7 milk cans in the original box
the pllatform.
The platform is pretty beat up,but the car is in vg+ condition. There are no chips on the side (only a few near the ice hatch). Sone of the plastic around the pins broke[censored][banghead][censored] ( my bad) but i will glue it. I paid $65 for it. PS How do you get those [censored] pins out of fastrack?

The Doctor is in !!! Not to sound “clueless” RAILFANSPEE4449, Are you asking a question about the milk car ??? Because I can offer some Info if needed about the Milk Car, I have reconditioned a few. It’s easy to do. If you have questions,Email Me. As to the deal you got, It sounds very good. Congratulations on your buy !!!

Hey Doc, I believe his question (at the end) was how to remove the FasTrack pins. I’ve never seen FasTrack up close, so I couldn’t say. I’m sure someone on the forum has the answer.

Since fastrak doesn’t fit in the unloading platform, I need to connect the o gauge ucs track to the fastrack. I don’t want to buy the o-gauge conversion piece, and it looks like the o gauge pins will fit in to the hole. All I have to do is get rid of the fastrack pins!!

Why don’t you want the FasTrack connecter sections? They would make your life a lot easier for about $5. The FasTrack pins are in to stay. Joe

It’s virtually impossible to remove a pin without damaging the track section. Once you do get them out, a regular O gauge pin won’t fit without being soldered in place. All said and done, your life would be a lot easier if you bought the adapter section.

The Doctor is in !!! I humbly stand(sitting at the computer typing this) corrected as to the
question being asked. As I only use old Lionel O gauge tubular track(and starting to test super O track) I don’t have info about fastrack. My advice: Stick to the tried and true if you are using older items. Or, try the MTH Milk car platform. It might work with fastrack ! It was made for use with older milk cars and Realtrax. This may solve your problem. Please let me know if that does the trick ! Till My Next Missive, I Remain The Humble, Yet Strangly (and somewhat wiser) Evil Doctor !!![}:)]
