My dad was yardmaster at the coach yards in the 50’s. Is any of that trackage or yards still in use today? Any history or sites around that I can research?

I’m sure Metra still has a presence over there for all of its trains that leave from the north platforms of Union Station. I believe that when CNW built new buildings at its California Avenue shops the facility was redesigned so it would be easily combined with MILW’s coach yard in the event of a CNW-MILW merger (which came very close to happening once).
