Even though the video is years old. It is good to see the former Western portion of the Milwaukee and Mississippi line again. In the last years of the Milwaukee Road this line was sunk in the mud and top speed was 10 mph maybe 15 mph. Even though you can see in the video parts of the old line probably still need rehab and other parts could use a refresh. The barge transload facility on the Mississippi river has generated new overhead traffic. Would like to see the river bridge restored at some point and perhaps an expansion of the WSOR into Iowa. Just a dream at this point. Happy to see there is overhead traffic once again on this line though still not much…it is a start.
