I am going to be very vague and inquisitive here.

The Missouri Pacific had I think Auto Racks, but I beleive the cars were owned by TTX and the racks by MP, is this so, were there different numbers on the racks to the cars, does anyone have any specifics on how they may have been combined as far as numbers go, for instance, could you see TTX 1111 with MP 2222 one day, and then TTX 1111 with MP rack 3333 another day (suggestive number variations), or some other time in their career, or did they always stay with the one mate.

What period in time would these have operated and would any still be around?

I do not recall ever hearing of MP auto racks, although that does not mean they did not exist. The racks are semi-permanently attached to the cars. They would not switch racks without a very good reason.
