With all the power shortages that are now occuring these units will be snatched up quickly. The GP-7’s and 9’s make good museum power. Wouldn’t it be nice to see a C30-7 out on mainline rails again.
No 100 is one of the GP’s that was leased each summer to the PRR to work on the Lake Erie coal and ore docks.
What’s happenning with BAR F3A 502?
What kind of maintenance did they receive from MM&A?
Hope they all get back on the road and not scraped.
Watch, NS will buy them.
BAR 502 is still at Derby in a hut. Derby shops is NOT part of the new railroad. Be nice to save those GP’s too
here is a link that works to the list, I will go over and get some pics I think…

The C30–7 was one of the reasons that GE got back into the engine business so successfully. That engine followed the U 33s and U 36s and led to the DASH 8’s.
5017 has that wreck-involved history so whomever wants it will obviously have to be not concerned about it. Keep in mind what CSXT did to 8888 after its little frolic through Ohio years ago.
Is there any pictures Bruce Bell that you got? If so, how can I get to see them.
To Bruce Bell: The link you provided worked. I got to see the MM and A locomotives for sale. Thanks. BB
So where is the Central Maine & Atlantic getting their motive power?
