I’m slowly doing the above layout and need some information I can’t locate.
They kit-bash Walther’s New River Mine and I need the dimensions of the finished product so I can allow room for it.
This seems like it should be straightforward, just use the grid printed on the trackplan to scale the size of the footprint with a ruler – you can use the scale printed on the plan, such as 3/4" to 1 foot (1/16" to 1 inch). From that, it looks like roughly 11"X15" overall.
Or am I not understanding your question?
MR cut down the Walthers kit to get it to fit. If you have the ‘Subscriber-Only Content’, you can search on Virginian and fin the installment where Jim H did the kit-bash.

i believe the May 2102 issue has the instructions you need. It includes a template of the cuts needed. There is Virginian build thread on the layout forum if you ever want to give advice, ask for advice, or jut post progress pics
