Does anyone else have problems with the audio? I can’t hear Cody very well, and when I turn up the volume the music soundtrack is deafening. This is the second “Cody’s Office” I’ve had this problem with.
Cody
I would like to know if any of the Railroad crossings or signals worked.
CODY, Go back in the airconditioner ,I can’t believe you forgot about us N Scalers on CODY’S OFFICE. It was a very good show anyway. Thanks, Steve DeHart , Oakman Ga
very cool
For future reference don’t do another episode outside in the sunlight. The color was washed out and it was evident you were having difficulty reading your script. Your show is one of the reasons I renew my subscription to MR and access to the MR website but I was disappointed in this weeks episode.
First! but seriously, I was wondering how to convert a DC engine which isn’t DCC ready to accept a DCC decoder. Love the show!!
Unfortunately, contrary to Cody’s response near the end of this episode, I believe you cannot order the NuComp Miniatures trailer from Walthers, or anyone else, because according to a Model Railroader forum thread of some weeks ago, all their products are sold out or discontinued, I see that their website (which was still up when the forum thread was active) has been taken down, and the thread said their phone number seemed to be disconnected.
Too bad as there were several interesting items in that line.
That David Popp is a real slavedriver. Nice job of weathering the locomotive. Why not show it running on the new layout?
great show cody still need to see some on30 stuff
Hmmm??
On the Proto 2000 SW9, why would Conrail or any other operator blank out a forward facing window? Is it just because it is a cheaper way of filling the space instead of using glass?
I would have thought that the extra vision, even if it is a 3/4 view to the engineer/conductor, would still be invaluable.
Another question…
Has there ever been a track plan or an article on Andy Sperandeo’s Cajon Pass layout? Over 31 years of reading MR I don’t recall ever seeing one. Thanks.

I like the tips and if or when I can redo my layout this site will be well used.
Thanks
Enjoy your segments very much, Cody. A pleasure to watch, and, great tips to learn new ways (from old hands - not you, Cody) to improve the layout.
Thanks for keeping these show interesting. I liked the outside theme today. Also extremely glad the videos work on my iPad now. Do I have MR to thank for that?
Great Episode Cody, but could you have your sound guy work a little harder when you demonstrate the bells and whistles? The sounds of the SW9 were barely audible.
Good initeresting presentation this week, so what did David Popp used to teach…? And you need a piece of coal to hold down your script papers…!!
Good to see you at work again. But what do you mean, “Have a safe summer.”? Is this the last installment until Fall? I hope not or my Thursdays just won’t be the same. You and David perform a great service for the modeler. Just wish the show was longer.
I wanted to go backand watch the Cody’s Office video’s that i didn’t see. I found that 5 & 37 are missing. Is there a problem with them?
I try to use the weathering techniques on my steam locomotive, but it ended up looking unrealistic because i only used a paintbrush. You know what? I used to have that same exact watch! 1:17
As always a great show, and plenty of information.
Its always a pleasure to see your video.
Thank you all at MR.
