Nice vids, I like all the animated pieces on the display, as for that steamer…wow, that thing was going so fast that I thought for sure it would fly straight off the tracks.
Marty, there are not many photos/videos posted on the forum that I call Mrs. Buckeye and ask her to take a look at. Your video of around the town is one that Mrs. Buckeye will need to see. I really like how you worked the tire swing into the back yard of the house. [tup][tup][tup][tup]
I love looking at the rest of Kodiak Junction without the trains - what a neat idea! I appreciate seeing all the details - you lingering on a shot so we can see how you embedded the accessories into the scenery for example or placed figures and vehicles. Nicely done.
Of course, my favorite is classic trains going around fast. I appreciate your holding the camera steady and allowing the train to come in and out of the shot instead of trying to chase it around the layout. I was just racing the GG1 and a short consist the other night and thinking it would be fun to film if I had a video camera… What a nice engine. Thanks very much, Marty.
Thanks for all the compliments. Next time I get some left over disc space I plan on doing a more comprehensive look at Kodiak Junction. Slow things down a bit and really try to get some clearer shots. I do think sometimes we concentrate on the trains and not the very important “supporting cast”.
Paul…Copy away! I did. And thats why I enjoy sharing. If I give someone even a small idea I think I’ve done the hobby justice.
The 671 is on loan from my sister. Myself and her former husband went in together on the Century Club together. When they split he left the trains behind. Somewhere at her house I believe the tender sits. Although he might have taken it. I’m guessing at the rate my sister is putting up any kind of layout that the 671 will beon my layout for many years and hopefully the tender will show up.
Definetly a 1st class layout going on! Your accessory incorporation has inspired me to pay more attention to the animation. You definetly are an asset to the hobby.
Marty - I don’t know where to begin - marvelous videos! I liked how Kodiak Jct. has bounced back from the alien attack! [alien] I liked the background music too. The animations are so well blended into the overall setting, subtle but still a nice feature. The 671 is sweet too! Great sound and smoke.
Thanks for sharing! I look forward to seeing more.
Thanks again for all the great replies. I am currently waiting for my computer to finish a virus scan and when it does I’ll put together one of the last 2 videos from the disc. I’ll premier it here on CTT. It is of the Century Club Hudson.
Great job on the videos. Love your animation and that 671 is a good looking engine. You say that smoker is factory? WOW! Is it a good puller? Does it have odyssey?
