MPC Big Steam

Billbarman posted this in August 09. It’s a trainz summery of 70 to 86 big steam. A addition to the info in Greenberg’s Guide to Fundimensions Trains 70-85. Interesting to read, I thought it worth bringing forward as many may not have seen it. Unless you have all the catalogs as far as I know there is no information on 96 to current Lionel trains. http://www.trainz.com/articles/MPCSteam.html

There were two later broad subject volumes that covered all locomotives and rolling stock of the modern era: Greenberg’s Guide to Lionel Trains 1970-1991, Vol. I Motive Power and Rolling Stock and Greenberg’s Guide to Lionel Trains 1987-1995 Motive Power and Rolling Stock "The Richard Kughn Era.

There was also a Greenberg’s Guide to Lionel Trains 1970-1991 Vol. II that covered special production, sets, department store specials, accessories, the tinplate line, and Large scale. Alas, all are out of print and unlikely to see the light of day (at least on paper) again.
