MRL SD40 Questions

I have several MRL SD40 questions i need answered. I have an Athearn RTR SD40 and i need some help with the details i need to add to it.

  1. What blue matches the blue used by MRL?

  2. What type of horn does unit #214 have?

  3. Do these units have a d/b vent behind the last d/b fan?

I’m currently doing a fleet of MRL SD-40-2XR & SD-45. I have found that a thin coat of CSX blue (floquil F110352) then a coat of CSX New Image Blue (Floquil F110357) got really close to the color. The air horn is a 3-chime mounted between the dynamic brake fan and the first radiator fan offset to the engineer side of the engine. I do believe there is a dynamic brake vent behind the last dynamic fan. If you need picture help this web page www.rrpicturesarchives.net. Good luck.
